After a cloudy start at breakfast my miserable face gained a smile as the blue skies appeared and
then the sun followed and before you coukd say Happy Birthday I was out on my bike riding up Reigate Hill the steep way! Glorious views from the top and a fantastic bright day.
A quick shower, game of Guitar Hero then over to M&D's where I was met with a completly decked out dining room and a kitchen laiden with all my favorite foods courtesy of G&H. There were 13 of us there so only Mike's family and Emanuele missing and we ate and chatted merrily.
Then adjourning to the living room for Mum's famous chocolate fudge cake, Ella played Happy Birthday on the organ and then all the kids helped me unwrap my presents!
Boxing gloves for the release of the inevitable frustration this week has brought! Books about riding my bike all over the world, a plasticine bicycle model from Ella and of course the Astrosaurs Academy book for Cal and I to read together.
Then we had a DVD showing of my 40 years in pictures and a repeat showing of Elfy Xmas which had everyone in hysterics.
As going home pressies we all got "My Little Wrapper" choclates personalised just for me and even some for my bike buddies tomorrow!
I really had a lovely time catching up with ALL my family.
